Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel is Set amidst the extensive 50 acres, the Laxmi Vilas Palace was built in 1887 for Raja Ragunath Singh, the younger brother of the then Bharatpur ruler, Maharaja Ram Singh. The palace was earlier called Raghunath Niwas, though the locals always preferred to call it Kakaji ka Mahal. Later on in 1994 the palace was converted into a hotel known to be Laxmi Vilas Palace. Bharatpur Royal Palaces, including Laxmi Vilas Palace has played host to such dignitaries as the Duke of Edinburgh, Shah of Iran, King of Nepal and Shah of Afghan & has been a prime witness to, and a participant in almost in every eventful experience that took place in the princely state of Bharatpur, be it royal weddings, affairs of the court or Royal duck shoots. The palace kitchen always ensured that only gourmet cuisine arrived at the dinning table and the same traditions of hospitality have been kept alive till date. While creating and running Laxmi Vilas Palace it has always been at the forefront of our efforts to minimize our impact on the environment and community and thus seek sustainable solutions to our operations. The use of solar heaters, organic farming helps us to uphold moral values that care for the environment.
